6-7pm Friday Evenings. Open to all abilities, the class begins with awareness of breath and how it affects the body. After a gentle warm up, you are guided through a sequence of postures (asanas), before coming to rest, allowing the breath and body to settle in a relaxation period.
I like to pause a little in each posture to allow time to explore how your body and breath feels before moving on to the next posture.
I am very grateful the hall is well heated with additional big heaters so it is never cold.
A gentle Class that begins with breath awareness before warming the body up, ready to guide it through a sequence of asanas designed to improve strength and flexibility.
The class winds down to a relaxation period, allowing the body and breath to settle.
Its open to all levels, where you start is not important, with practise the body will adapt to the movements, which can be adapted to suit the body.
There are many different stems of yoga, but Hatha is known as ‘the route of yoga.’ My classes include a relaxation period, warm up and mobilisation, the main poses or asanas, and a guided meditation to help you relax and enjoy the energy you’ve just created.
